Funny story told to us by the Chief Officer of one of HAL'S ships - happened when we were on board. One of the crew was washing the outside windows in the Crow's Nest in the early morning hours when he spotted a couple making out on one of the sofas. He came running down to the bridge and said excitedly, "Charlie, Charlie somebody is making marry in the Crow's Nest". They just howled. So maybe the Crow's Nest is a good place.

I'm a happy married man now, but years ago when I worked on cruise ships, I did kiss a few girls. The most unique place I kissed with a girl was when I was a passenger on the Norway. That place was on the bow of the Norway - not up at the tip, but back a bit under the splash structure, or what ever you want to call it. It was a perfect evening, the stars were brilliant, coming from an ocean liner buff, I'll say that was the ultimate - to kiss with a girl on the bow of one of my favorite ships! Another favorite spot was in the Princess Grill late at night on the QE-2. The moon was huge and bright off on the horizon - it was one of those perfect "Love Boat" moon-lit nights.

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone, and don't forget the "Christ" in Christmas - It is the birth of Jesus that we celebrate!

In high school my parents took us on a number of cruises. One of my first romantic kisses was as a teenager on one of the upper decks fo the Leonardo Da Vinci. I had met a girl and we started dancing in the disco. After a while we got tired and took a walk on deck.

Under the stars, the wind blowing across the deck, a clear night, the sound of the waves, a pretty girl, a boy ...

Never saw her again after we docked.

Took my first cruise in years on the QE2 last July. Its pretty romantic with your wife too.

Wow..nineteen replies and I was only joking! (Yes, I am a bit 'in your face, but Mercy started it!).

Those of you that saw the recent Titanic movie will know which location Jack and rose prefered! They certainly steamed up the windows! Now I think that I am right in saying that the only Cruise ship that you could do this today, is aboard the QE2?

It's a little known fact, but in the old days it was the thing to do in the crows nest. This is why the Titanic sunk. It was covered up that the reason the guy was late spotting the iceberg is because he was busy doing something else
