So where on earth is the SS Norway? Has she disappeared into the Bermuda triangle? Where is she docked? What's going down?

Surely there are some photo's somewhere?

Good question. It's been far too long. 5 months since leaving Bremerhaven and not a peep after arriving in wherever it was. Do Star Cruises own their own breakers or something?

How can an Ocean liner vanish? Surely someone has seen her and photographed her? What condition is she in? What is her fate?

Sounds like quotes from some of the paperback thrillers I have in my collection-- "The Day They Stole the QUEEN MARY", "The QE2 is Missing", etc!

Perhaps someone who is adept with the Google Earth satellite images can locate Port Klang and find her there?

Malcolm,

I have seen one photo that an Australian passenger of a container ship sent me several weeks ago.

The passenger took the picture of the "Norway" off Port Klang in early September where the ship was at anchor at that time.

So..where is she in the photos???? Wish we had a better view of her. Someone out there has a digi-cam to take photos of her to prove she's there.

She is behind the lights Dambrosi.. there is not much to play with in the photos, but you can prove it's her:- see here and here.

So what is happening to her? Is she just docked there marking time or are they carrying out some sort of an internal refit?

At a very wide guess she may possibly be part of Genting's plans for Sentosa Island, or the other Casino Resort in Singapore, should they win a bid. However Singapore really seems to be dragging their feet over this. Everything was supposed to have been done and dusted by now, but the latest dates set are ; guidelines for the casino bids will be officially released on Nov 15, while bidders must submit their casino proposals by March 29. The winner will be named by the middle of next year.

So it may be a long wait

Thank you PamM for those photos....they don't look like Photo Shop or anything like that....that looks like our beloved SS NORWAY to me.
And it seems like all we're doing is waiting....waiting to find out what's going to happen to her, the BIG U and the INDEPENCE......wait, wait, wait....in the meantime, the clock is ticking......

This is my first post in a long long time, though in the last year I have been lurking here wondering about the Norway.

I have only had two cruises and both were on the Norway so I am very interested I what befalls her, I just wish someone in authority would say something.

Pam probably used Photoshop or some other imaging software to lighten (dodge) the dark images into those she has on the two links (see here and here).

Port Klang always reminds me of Alang. Probably the 'ang' ending.

Interesting photos there. I just wish they'd get on with it one way or the other.
