Hello my dearest friends

Well, sure it isn't my first cruise, but after almost 30 with just Costa and MSC, i think it will be something different right?

I know its all Carnival but which differences can i expect? Better food, better service maybe?

It's a Christmas & New Years cruise from Rio to Valparaiso, i already made this route with Costa but not ending in Valparaiso, so at least from the itinerary i cannot expect anything so different

Oh! A silly question; can i pay my expenses aboard with Visa Travel Money or just with Credit Cards?

Thank you all for your attention

You will find Princess to be fun. Movies under the Stars with the pizza place right there. Deck chairs and blankets if it's a bit chilly. Lots of team trivia daily.
Like most cruise lines you will get an onboard card for purchases, charged then to your normal credit card. You can do a money exchange if you want for Argentina and Chile. Just use your credit card for onshore purchases. Be aware that some of the shore excursions go into some remote areas where roads are just dirt and rough. (Penquins) I liked Ushihia(spelling)?
I don't think you'll find Princess much different than the lines you've already cruised on.

Thank you Frosty for your answer!

Well, the shore excursions in Ushuaia i already made, did not found excelente, but the views and the penguins worth it!

As for the payments, i was refering to that Visa card like a "pre paid card", i put my money in that card and then i would pay my expenses aborad. I'm asking that because here in Brasil we have 10% extra surcharge for using the Credit Card abroad, but with this pre-paid Visa Card there is none extra tax!! Better to pay 2,000 dolars than 2,200 right?

Thank you for the help!

In general, it will be a more refind/laid back version of costa, with a British rather than Italian influence.

Well just off the Crown, a couple of things we noticed.

Food portions and quality is down in the the dinning room, but up in the lido.

The bed is still the worst afloat.

Same tv shows offered as 6 months ago on the Sapphire, with no major networks offered.

The entertainment was just awful. lots of people walking out of the shows.

They did a fantastic job with the Christmas decorations.

Embarkation was a mess, why put a trainee in place to deal with priority pax.

Debarkation was very smooth.

Ok, so it sounds all negative, but we actually had a good time, we looked at it like this...every ships will have a "bad cruise", this was one of them, we will be going on Princess again, if the trend continues then we will look at offer lines.
