The Independence left Vallejo,California at 8pm...July 26th! Where she is headed is a mystery!! Anyone with anymore info??

Just recieved the following note from Pam on the same subject - she is in SF and took pictures of the Indy a in Vallejo.

I saw her last Thurs in Vallejo... Definitely in San Fran today, just south of 4th street.. my map does not really show any pier she could be berthed at from the angle she seemed to be.

I think she is just headed to drydock for some maintenance work. As per nevadaflip's post on June 21st

If NCL is spending money on towing and maintainence, this has to have positive implications.

Indeed surpricing news about this GRAND AMERICAN LADY. It seems that NCL is not forgetting here. Sometimes even LADYs must have some attention and she must have all the attention.

Now waiting fore the next chapter in this opera.

Lets hope Indy will be consigned to the Gates of the Past, whioch inspired the Golden Gate Bridge!
Drydockings can be fatal, remember Connie...
I hope she becomes a museum in SFO.

Such a coincidence. I was just looking at my old brochure from one of the last seasons the Indy sailed Hawaii. The moral of the story - where an older ship is involved, don't procrastinate if you want to sail her!

Although, the prices seemed a little high. But the itinerary was good and the ship seemed to have a lot of charm.

Tim; Do u think their is really any chance of the Indy returning to service in the next 2 yrs. Personally I think NCL America would use her for San Fransisco-Hawaii service and sailing along the US coast!
