I read on another site that QE2's Synagogue was recently dismantled. The space, in use for nearly 40-years is now empty for her delivery voyage to Dubai.

Yes, it was cleared out on the 5 night voyage 22/27 Oct, but then apparently there was a problem with offloading it; some protest or other. I assume the matter has now been resolved.

Stevie, being Jewish, helps with all things to do with the Synagogue and apparently due to some paperwork they were unable to remove the items. There was talk of contacting Micky Arison to complain they'd been insulted. Never heard about that again so I assume not.

Isn't QE2's Synagogue actually the one that was originally on Queen Mary?

You are correct, Chris. I found a reference to it in Potter and Frost's 1969 book. Cunard asked Prof. Mischa Black whether they could use the QM's synagogue on QE2 but he replied that it (the QM's synagogue) was not in keeping with modern trends in the Jewish faith, so he designed a new one for QE2.
