Huh? QE2 is in Barcelona (April 10). Her next visit to the Big Apple will be September 2005.

We've got a link to the Passenger Ship Terminal calander on our Ports page and there doesn't appear to be much going on this month - especially today. You can also see the docks with the Empire State web cam on the same page.

QE2 and QM2 will be in Southampton together on Saturday (April 16). After that they will not be together again in any port until April 23, 2006 in Southampton. In both cases there will be QE2 world cruise passengers transferring to QM2 for the final leg of their cruise to New York.

In between the closest they will come to being in port together is one day apart; e.g. in September 2005 in New York (QE2 on Sept 13 , QM2 on Sept 14) and Southampton (QE2 on Sept 19, QM2 on Sept 20).

Met up with Jochen (Cunardcoll) and Lewis (SS Lewis) this evening in the Star Hotel, Southampton. We had a drink and a good discussion about all things liner-related.

The meets of the Queens tomorrow. Will QM2 catch up the time I wonder? Braemar is in port too and Adonia, for her conversion to Sea proncess at drydock [irks me she is being advertised as the 'beand new' Sea Princess! people are booking not realising she is Adonia in disguise].

S'ton schedules can be viewed here.

What they don't know won't hurt them!

I'm having trouble remembering which ships are in and which ships are out of the P&O fleet, let alone the name changes.

Should have said 'brand' above. I have seen people commenting that they are disappointed when they find out. Mind you they should do their home work before booking, but people don't.

It was nice meeting you Seawanderer and Jochen at the Star!
Still recovering from an adventurous day
Jochen dragged me in a memorable train journey to Soton after we toured hmsWarrior in Pompey Dockyard!
Once in Soton, I got wet with seawater splashed by the tugs attending Arcadia maiden voyage!
Felt like Tintin and Captain Haddock..or Snowy
Hope QM2 can catch up on her delayed arrival confirmed by the Portsmouth News.

Who's advertising her as "brand new"? Ought to be shot, or at least be sat on by the Trading Standards heavies. The Princess material I've seen was carefully written.

The latest is that QM2 is due to dock at 0800. I will try to drag myself out of bed that early! 0600 for the QE2 is a wee bit too early...

"New" Sea Princess eh? Flippin' nerve. Quite amusing though how advertisers, etc, will play on the general publics' naievity!

I saw Adonia, close up in the dry dock today - no I didn't do any trespassing on dock property as that is a complete no-no and I am an upright law-abiding citizen - I just went to the filling station at Millbrook to get some petrol and that is right next to the dry dock.

Well, I woke up at 6am, but due to confusion and train breaking down, I only got in Soton 8am
However, managed to get very close before Security noticed and had a few nice shots to be processed.
What is this fuss about QE2 vandalised?
