Ive been to the Intrepid Air and Space museum, even though we were only allowed an hour there, it was amazing, great collections, including the legendary Concorde, propeller from the SSUS, much more!

Why they didn't dig around it to begin with sitting that long in time is beyond me.
If your car is stuck in the snow - are you going to dig 20 feet in front of your car to move it? Or are you going to dig around the tires? They dredged the river area to move it, they just didn't do anything about the mud surrounding the ship.
