I had seen this model of the EMERALD SEAS, I have a model of it from Miami Passport Products. But, I've never seen this one before. Have any of you??

I don't know if it's me, but it just does'nt look right.

It doesn't look right because it isn't. That is not the way EMERALD SEAS looked. There is a resemblance, but thats about it.

Absolutely 100% agree with you Ernie - before I even I read the text (after I opened the thread as it said Emerald Seas) - I looked at the pic and was confused as it is NOT the ship I was expecting to see. I went right to Simplon for some pics: http://www.simplonpc.co.uk/ of the real thing.

This one immediately reminded me of some odd hybrid of Vistafjord meets Sun Viking w/ someone else's top decks and funnels...interesting creature.

The model looks very similar to a Japanese twin funnelled ferry called SUNFLOWER 11 built in 1974, right down to the window arrangement. Purhaps Emerald Seas owners were toying with the idea of buying that ship at some point and modifying her for cruising? Look up Fakta om fartyg for more details.

Does anyone have a link to or pictures of SUNFLOWER II? I tried to google it and look on Simplon but only found SUNFLOWER and SUNFLOWER 7 - neither of which look like the above model.

Now I am curious

She is SUN FLOWER 11, but there is little on the net. See Fokta om Fartyg. i can see the similarities there and even the hawseholes match. There is also a pic of a model from a kit, way down on this page.
