Well it isn't actually in this movie starring Gene Kelly and Shirley Maclaine(not sure on that one), but the backdrop for a song and dance routine features the bridge and mast, as well as the unmistakable funnels. Any one out there have any idea what the movie was called.

You've got the stars right--the film was called "What a Way to Go!", (1964.)

Funny I missed this movie!
I'm also collecting movies with ssFrance!
Born in 1964, I research many events of that year.
ssFrance was fitted with new props and was being remarketed as ssUS mate since ssAmerica was leaving the fleet.
Entente cordiale is for French-UK partnership, but how do you call US-France?
Glencoe must have done the model then ?
Other movies to watch, but in French are Le Cerveau and Gendarmes a New-York!

I think that QE2 became SS France running mate when the Big U retired, if I remember correctly.

Yes, Cunard and French Line coordinated the sailings of their ships so as not to directly compete with each other, thus offering a smoother service.

SS FRANCE is seen at the very end of the movie Serpico, where Al Pacino and the English Sheep dog are sitting right in front of it. The camera pulls away and you see her. It's a wonderful shot, although, I'm sure Frank Serpico did'nt leave via ship. He was still and I guess still a marked man, he was living in Canada for fingering the cops on the take.
