Maxim Gorkiy undertook a record 35 around-the-world cruises during her 39-year career. I believe the first was in the winter of 1975/76 (for Neckermann) and that she operated at least one voyage every year until her retirement in 2008. Can anyone advise which years she took two? I think 1987/88 was one, but I'm not sure of the other.
Many thanks in advance!Jon

Noop, Neckermann sold two world cruises in 1987/8; Westbound cruise in the winter of 1987/8 and Eastbound cruise in the spring of 1988 however I was wondered Eastbound cruises finally offered or not?I believed that Maxim Groki was refurbished from April 29th to June 2nd, 1988 at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven.

Her later world cruises tended to be longer (sometimes up to 150 days), so I assume she undertook the back-to-back voyages during the Neckermann years. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks again.

As you posted, Maxim Gorki had chartered by Phoenix Reisen in September 1988.
