For those not familiar with the KdF ships, during the 30s in Nazi Germany, the German Workers Front (DAF) developed the Kraft durch Freude (Strength Through Joy) program, which offered low-cost recreational activities for everyday workers and their families. The KdF chartered, purchased and built a fleet of cruise ships that were used in the program. The book is the history of each ship plus an incredible amount of rare and mostly previously unpublished photos....including a slew of Wilhelm Gustloff.

The historian and curator of the Cincinnati German Society received a copy of the book and contacted me; looks like I'll be exhibiting a slew of German liner items in their museum in December, followed by a few lectures in January.
