She was built for Helsinki - Stockholm service, but before she started on this route, she was chartered to Finnlines, Helsinki for cruises in the African West coast.
In July started on the regular route and in the next summer chartered again to Finnlines.
In 1980 sold to Finland Steamship Co., Ltd (FÅA) for Turku - Maarianhamina - Stockholm run.
In 1986 sold to Seacontainers Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda for cruises in the Mediterranean.
In Dec 1986 chartered to Club Sea, Antigua for cruises, in April 1987 back to Seacontainers for Venice - Piraeus - Istanbul route.
In 1989 chartered to Europe Cruise Line (Effjohn) for cruises to the Canaries and West coast of Africa, in Dec 1989 sold to Effjohn. In 1992 sold to Wasa Line, Finland and was refitted with sponsons at Kotkan Telakka, Kotka, Finland: this increased her GT to 16,546 and she was put on the route Vaasa - Sundsvall / Umeå.
In 1994 transferred to Silja Line, Helsinki for Helsinki - Tallinn and Vaasa - Umeå routes.
From Jan to July 2000 laid up in Vaasa and in July was used in the G8 meeting at Genoa as a hotel ship. When in Genoa, she was sold to a Star Cruises subsidiary Cruise Ferry and in Oct 2001 started on the route Hongkong - Xiamen.
