Some weeks past someone posed the question
"what's the last WSL liner"? I do not remem-
ber the person stating the answer after many
answered.

I answered the Queen Mary and would like to
know the correct answer if I am wrong.

Would he/she who asked, please let us know?

Malcolm....

Did not your question ask which was the last
WS Liner still in existance or similar????

The QM sailed as a Cunard White-Star Liner
up to and including the 50's......isn't QM
a reasonable answer since she sailed til the
mid 60's????

As Joe mentioned, however, Britannic was
the last to still use WSL house colors as
she did to the very end.

Guys , it was the Georgic of 1932 , she was the last ship build for White Star Line

Hi...Malcolm's question was...last surviving member of the White Star "FLEET". And of course he is quite right with the answer, the Nomadic.
Cunard White Star Ltd. became the Cunard Steam-Ship Company Ltd. in 1950, reverting to the name previous to the 1934 amalgamation. The Queen Mary was ordered by Cunard and partially built before 1934 so she could never have been a White Star ship. A Cunard White Star ship yes, but not a White Star ship as were the Britannic and Georgic.
btw..after 1934 the companies ships flew both House Flags, the Cunard flag above the White Star burgee except on the Britannic and Georgic where they were reversed with the burgee uppermost.
