Hello,

I was poking around port schedules and noticed in 2017 the Norwegian Star will visit Syndey many times throughout 2017, especially early 2018.

Makes absolute sense...and a little surprised it took this long to return. The've open an office in Sydney with 40+ employees (call center, marketing, etc). For those who remember, NCL had a Norwegian Capricorn Line subsidiary with Norwegian Star (1) in the late 90s prior to Star Cruises acquisition.

While P&O Australia's fleet has significantly grown over the past few years, it seems ships based in Australia are the cruise lines older ships. This is also with Carnival Spirit (15 years old), Radiance of the Seas (15 years old), and Explorer of the Seas (16 years old), Voyager of the Seas (17 years old). Yes, I know P&O Australia just ordered a new ship...and this will be the first Australia-dedicated new build in who knows how long.

With NCL's recent strong earnings, as well as Frank Del Rio's comments of weaning NCL off the 7 day caribbean "milk-runs" I'm wondering if they plan to move a new, or new-ish, new build to Australia by the end of the decade? With the next ship slated for China, they have two other Breakaway-Plus Class ships to be delivered between now and Q4 2019.

Thoughts?

Brian

Bookings are thru 2021...looks like Ovation of the Seas will have some calls as well.

They're starting to offer some better options in NYC during the winter rather than the boring Florida & Bahamas run. It'd be nice if they did something out of Baltimore too.

I'm surprised how well P&O Australia does with the older ships. I'm also interested in seeing the new ship in P&O Australia colors... Whatever those colors are!

I agree. Great to see how much growth and demand the market in ANZ has had. I'm just surprised that when you look across all of Carnival Corp's 9 active brands, they have a strong consistency identity wise.

Seems like P&O Australia is still trying to find it's identity in the market (of which they command).

Brian

Joe (or anyone else) -

Have you come across the new NCL China logo? They announced it in the press release but I haven't seen it anywhere?

Best,
Brian
