I was told by the Hotel Director onboard a week or so ago, while I was on the cruise, that 75% of the crew are American, the rest are international. Norwegian Cruise Lines was allowed special permission to employ only 25% international crew.
As far as the ship, it's exterior looks a little unusual, but her interiors are wonderful. POA is actually an attractive ship next to the EPIC.
I was impressed with the crew.....It was intriguing being served by mostly Americans on a cruise ship. I was told that the costs to operate the POA is equal to FOUR Internationally registered ships.
