Royal Caribbean International is set to just have one ship in South America for winter 2012/2013 at press time, according to deployment from the Miami-based cruise line. The 2,074-passenger Splendour of the Seas will sail next winter from Santos on a variety of itineraries.

The recently refurbished ship is sailing in Brazil this winter along with the Vision of the Seas, which will not return to the region, but instead sail next winter on 10- and 11-day Caribbean from Port Everglades and 14-night Panama Canal voyages from Port Everglades and San Diego.

And fo you think that Royal Caribbean could be relacing Vision in South america with another ship?

At this time it looks very doubtful that they will be replacing the VisionOTS with another ship. It may be the case later after they accept delivery of the first Sunshine-class in the Fall of 2014.

No more than two months ago Royal was talking about increase the berths in China and Brazil, to avoid possible effects of one economical crisis. Then they put Voyager there, in China, and suddenly took off one ship from South America? Don't make sense... Or someone is not thinking before talking there, ou there's something wrong in the company plans...
