I just saw a commercial on Discovery TV channel 64 here in Montreal (Canada), that on Mighty Ships on Wednesday night they will go behind the scenes of Le Boreal. show airs at 8 p.m. eastern.

Surely this episode has already aired in the U.S. as we tend to run a week behind U.S. programming here in Canada.

Watching this late night presentation on Mighty Ships, Le Boreal is cruising on her maiden voyage from Buenos Aires Argentina down to South Georgia Island in the South Atlantic and then on to the Antarctic Peninsula for some tours of the area, then through the Drake Passage to Ushuaia.

Le Boreal is a high end luxury French ship offering an adventure to just 264 passengers and a 1 to 1 ratio of passenger service aboard.

It looks like a very interesting set of voyages.

Mighty Ships is a Canadian show, Discovery Channel Canada usually airs the episodes several months before they are shown in the States.

It will (eventually) get uploaded to discoverychannel.ca, but they are terrible at actually updating the video library, the season premier Norwegian Epic episode isn't even there yet (although the second episode on the North Star is, bizarre).

The Norwegian Epic aired again tonight on Discovery channel 64. Oasis was on the other night.

When it comes to Deadliest Catch on Discovery, we run a week behind that series from the U.S. I am on the DC fan page on Facebook.

I guess it matters if the show originates in the U.S. or by the production company in Canada.

There is tonight a documentary on flemish-Belgian public television about a voyage by "Boreal" to Antarctica.
I guess it is the same documentary.
I am very curious.
Antarctica is the ultimate cruise goal.

I was just talking about their website @ discoverychannel.ca.

I sent them an email to clarify when the shows are supposed to be uploaded, and lo and behold, they updated some of the episodes! The Epic episode is now in the Library.

As for tomorrow's new episode on the actual Discovery Channel Canada, I thought it was supposed to be on the Maersk Peregrino, at least that's what the website had listed in the showtimes. Le Boreal's episode hasn't been released AFAIK.

So it was the Le Boreal afterall.

You can re-watch it here (at least for Canadian residents, not sure about people from other countries):
