It is of course not unusual for ships of various time periods to look similar to each other.
I'm thinking SS QM, SS QE, SS France and SS United States etc.
More evidence that Royal Caribbean/Celebrity are the only ones building original concepts in the industry these days.

True. The Harland and Wolff built ships of the late 19th and early 20th centuries were all very similar except in their overall dimensions. Even Queen Mary had a few similarities to the earlier Aquitania. The interior layout of many passenger ships remained very similar for well over 30-years with the ss France having a similar GA to a large liner built in the 1930s and Cunard's Saxonia Class looked like pre-war ships in some ways.

The Voyager/Freedom and the Oasis class are indeed different but e.g. the Solstice class is very comparable to the designs mentioned above.
