Apparently, on a Holland America cruise, there were no less than two babies on board who were no more than six months old.
Both babies were dressed in tuxedos by their proud parents at the Gala dinner evening.
My first reaction was that this could only happen here in North America. On reflection however, I remember a post from Scottylass on her around the world cruise where some unusual adult Brits took their toy Golliwogs to dinner with them for all meals.
Maybe all other cruisers are nuts.
Where is Scottylass anyway?

Where does one even get a tuxedo for a six month old?
We were on a long shore excursion in Europe with a baby who couldn't have been a year old. That did not bother anyone so much. The baby was more mature than the parents . Actually I was quite impressed - the baby really did not cry the whole time, thank goodness. Now, the parents, a whole other story. We listened to them complaining and fighting with the poor tour guide all day! By the end, I think the rest of the group was tempted to throw them out the "emergency exit".
The next day we were touring the palace in Monaco and ran upon our favorite people. This time, the baby was screaming as they dragged the poor kid through the different areas of the palace. I'm glad we weren't in their tour group that day!
Of course just why you take your baby to see art museums in Florence is quite debatable, but I won't get into that... I can see someone taking a well-behaved infant or toddler on, say, a mass-market cruise in the Caribbean, where they can feed him/her at the buffet, play in the sand, and such, but I thought taking along a baby (literally, this one was not of walking age yet) on a lengthy (and expensive) cruise in the Med was a little odd...
There are some real strange people in this world.
For those who missed the story on the gollies,here is a snipet of the post:Now to the Gollies, well I do not want to say too much (libel cases and all that Ha Ha), but believe me its deadly serious, all dressed in same clothes, with a change every night including formal with their own watches, go everywhere, even sunbathing on deck in swimsuits. Leave in Sydney, thank goodness, its wearing a bit thin being so near to them in the dining room. They get nursed at the table, all got names, even have their own seat on the plane home, the stories go on and on, even the comedian on board brings it into his act, the people are rolling in the aisles, but it is deadly serious for them.
P.S. The gollies had their own cabin.

Some severely inbred adult Brits at the top of the heap still treat them as real people.

I don't think it is much different than the Teddy Bears. There have been reports on Teddy Bears being taken to the dining room etc., and not by children.
I got to admit those Gollies are not exactly the best looking dolls!
