3 exhibitions are being held in Le Havre during 2012 to mark the 50th anniversary of the first trip of SS FRANCE. At MuMa (Fine Arts Museum André Malraux), the Espace André Graillot & an openair museum of photography along the beach.

Details here. The 1st is not yet open, the 2nd is only open Wed to Sun, 14:30 - 18:00, but i got to wander the beach Well worth a visit for anyone in the area this summer.

Great to see SS France is not forgotten!

Sorry you couldn't see the other two expos.

Some years ago there was the same kind of expo on the beach/promenade about the maidenvoyage of SS Normandie. I've got a book about it.

Yes, ss Normandie was done similarly in 2010. There is also a book produced by the tourist board to go with this expo. It has the same reversed image on the cover as the advertising material, but lots of extra pictures too.

The tourist information office has many 50th anniversary items/souvenirs, an umbrella included, but it comes at quite a price:-
