I never sailed on her, I did sail a couple of times on the Skywardm in the evening we would hang out under the "dome" with a nice cold coke and watch the world sail by.

Beautiful photos that's for sure, another good one going away. I never got to sail on her either; I totally agree; she was a totally pleasant looking ship.

For me, she is one of the prettiest ships designed by Knud E. Hansen of Denmark (and they did a LOT of ships over the years!).

I sailed aboard her near sister when she was operated by Princess Cruises as Sun Princess. The interiors were nothing special as I remember and the ceiling height was quite low. The Sun Princess was a step down from the larger and more elegant Pacific/Island Princess. The Southward was a better looking ship IMO w/her sleek twin uptakes.

The ex ' Spirtit of London ' sails as ' Ocean Dream ' on short cruise from Thailand .

She is now owned by a Hong Kong company but not to be confused with the Japanese Peace Boat of the same name.

Very sad sight.... I wonder why they did not remove the lifeboats first?
