This was asked in another thread, also: the REX model was the centerpiece of the Fincantieri pavillion, surrounded by several models of their current, modern ships. In all of Fincantieri's literature, brochures, promotional videos, etc., they stress the long history of the yards as well as famous ships they built.

I am going to "geek out" looking at this picture! I have always loved the design of Rex's hull (even though her forward superstructure is a little odd). She has such beautiful lines!!

Yes, color photos of REX are rare. A friend of mine took this in New York, in early 1940. You can see her neutrality markings located midship.
Does any one have any colour pics of Conte di Savoia? How about interior shots?
