Today was a lovely day to take pictures so we went to the Euromast in Rotterdam to take pictures of ss Rotterdam.

If you get sick and tired of her I apologise.

Your pictures are always a welcomed addition. I for one never tire of seeing her. She is a jewel from our past and a testiment to what one can do with proper finances and planning.

I'm with Cunard Fan. She is one ship I certainly can never get tired of. You can see her design influence in several ships which came afterwards. I still think it's ironic Rotterdam and Canberra ended their careers for their respective lines on the same day. But Rotterdam lives while yesterday was 11 years since Canberra went to her doom. It's great to see Rotterdam there and one of these days I'll get over and visit.

Interesting fact Patsy! I did not know about it. After reading your comment, I looked at CANBERRA's scrapping pictures (made me cringe )

One site is www.sscanberra.com

Go to images then to Gadani Beach for the photos of her beached and later dismantled.
