And there's more on deployment today on Cruise Industry News. What I noted is that Mariner of the Seas isn't on the plans for caribbean, with Serenade from Galveston, and also that Vision of the Seas route's will be taken by Lengend of the Seas in 2013/2014. It's interesting to note that Royal hasn't a ship for Dubai in this season: all the four Radiance class ships will be in Caribbean/Australia. So, Mariner could be heading to Asia??

And Enchantment of the Seas will be on Majesty's place on Port Carnaveral, after her's transfer to Pullmantur.

You right, my mistake.

Today Royal announced that will have 9 ships in Europe in the next summer. Curiously Mariner isn't one of those...

If she will not be in Caribbean too, what will happen to her?

Disappointed that Baltimore didn't get a Radiance-class. Just swapped out the (stretched) Enchantment of the Seas for the (non-stretched) Grandeur of the Seas.

I had read that Mariner of the Seas was going to Asia to replace Legend of the Seas which was coming back over to here for Panama Canal and long Caribbean cruises.

When I was on the Brilliance of the Seas in Dubai this past January, the word from Royal Caribbean was they were continuing the cruises out of Dubai, but swapping out with a different ship other than the Brilliance of the Seas....The Dubai cruises were not so popular with Americans, but very popular with Europeans and Brits. I wonder what has changed since January?

I think it was the Serenade of the Seas that will be cruising out of Dubai in 2013.

Serenade of the Seas
- Dubai until April 8, 2013
- Summer 2013 European cruises from BCN
- W/B TA from Barcelona November 27, 2013
- New Orleans W. Carib until April 19, 2014

Brilliance of the Seas:
- N. Europe cruises until August 19, 2013
- TA to Boston departing August 31, 2013
- Boston cruises in the fall
- Repositioning to Tampa
- Short W. Carib thru 2014

Jewel of the Seas:
- Tampa short W. Carib until May 2013
- Repositioning to SJU
- Year round San Juan Summer 2013 thru Spring 2014

Radiance of the Seas:
- Alaska Summer 2013
- Repositioning via Hawaii
- Winter 2013/2014 in Australia

Royal Caribbean sending 2 cruise liners to China

BEIJING - Royal Caribbean Cruises is sending what it says will be Asia's two biggest cruise liners to serve China's growing tourism market.

The 3,114-passenger Voyager of the Seas is due to arrive in Singapore this weekend en route to Shanghai, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. said Friday. Its sister ship Mariner of the Seas will be sent to China next year. The two ships will carry Chinese cruise passengers on routes to Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea.

"2012 is for our company the year of China," said Adam Goldstein, president of Royal Caribbean International brand, at a news conference.

Royal Caribbean is taking the unusual step of committing a second ship to a new market before its first vessel has arrived because of China's significance to the company's plans, chairman Richard D. Fain said. The U.S.-Norwegian line is based in Miami.

"We see Asia in general and China in particular as a major strategic objective for our company," Fain said. "China has proven to be a very special market."

The ships, with 15 guest decks, are equipped with ice rinks, a 9-hole miniature golf course, three swimming pools each, a rock-climbing wall, restaurants and shops. Royal Caribbean said it has hired chefs in China to create menus for Chinese passengers.

The outfitting of the two ships bound for China is part of a $300 million investment program for Royal Caribbean's fleet, Goldstein said.

Yes, now Royal just need to release some Caribbean sailings, South America and Dubai. Looks like that Mariner will do the 2013/2014 season in Dubai, and Vision will head to Panamá, what means that again Royal will have only Splendour in Brazil.
