We are planning a cruise commencing June 22 from Palma, on the MS Carousel with stops in Barcelona, Rome, Villefranche & Florence.
Would apprecialte comments on day trips, weather at that time of year, do & don't.
Also would like to go swimming in the sea if at all possible.
Your impressions of the ship & meals.
Any information would be appreaciated. Thanking you inadvance

Hi Taylorwhite,
Villefranche is probably the best port for swimming in the sea, the beach is sheltered, but the ship will anchor in the bay for the passengers to be tendered to shore. The day trips from the Italian ports can be quite tiring because long bus journeys are required - but they are worth the effort. Enjoy the cruise!
