Wonderful video series. The editing and creativity is quite good....although it pales in comparison to the scenery. What once was a destination I never dreamt of, is now on the must visit list someday. Well done. Can't wait to see part 3.
What did you see in Lofoton beside Reine Rorbuer? The interview was nice with the owners, but that is all we saw virtually in 15mins.
It would be so much better with a series of much shorter clips, showing whole interviews rather than just one question with the Captain etc. [You did not have his name appear on the screen, but you did with the Hotel Manager and Musician]. You said the ship was small, but not how small nor give the size, or compare to anything else. Maybe that is 'technical' but you included the reasons for the lack of harbour pilots which is more so.
It would be much better to get your tongue around some of the interviewees' names rather than say "what is your name?" to each and every one and then shove the microphone in their face. Why not have wireless microphones, or something smaller that does not get in the way, or even put your CA logo on it
A lot of repetition of some comments, "Reine Lofoton", "Magical Place", "check out", "little cabin" all said many times over; sometimes I feel you are searching for things to say, but that can't be the case as you have shown you did do some research/preparation and put thought into what you were going to film and ask in the interviews.
I may sound a bit critical here, sorry, but you did ask for comments and just my own thoughts - and who am I to say anyway as I could not do it. I did however enjoy the views, especially the sea eagle.
Pam
Thanks for the comments.
In general I enjoyed your videos as I live in this country and have traveled several times with Hurtigruten myself. Even if it's just for two days from Trondheim to Bergen I always enjoy it. I know the interviews must be hard as Norwegians tend to be very introvert and shy and do not come across very well on camera.
As far as your videos it all depends on which public you are aiming at. For me it's seen though very American eyes which seem to be mainly aimed at the US viewers. (For example we do get very irritated by this commercial stuff here in Europe)
I see it more at a very well intended amateur level and enjoyed watching them. You certainly did show the passion for it.

I can only second that. However, Pam has of course a point and I am convinced that one can get more out of this material. A series of much shorter and more concise clips would indeed be much better. This is more appropriate for the internet and I am sure more people could be reached this way. Also, I wonder whether it wouldn't be better in some cases to let people just talk on their own (following a preparatory conversation) instead of a too short interview.
