Ok, I just attempted to remove the code for the Pop Up ads on CruiseTalk and TravelPage.com. Please let me know if you notice a difference.

If you still get one, let me know what page you were looking at since their could be some old code out there.

Spoke too soon. As soon as I closed out CT and came back got two pop up/under ads:

This link was a pop under ad, which I had to click twice to exit:

http://www.weeklyhealthtips.info/latest/reviews/dietbreakthrough/vc/3p4qf8n/usa/index.php

And this ad in SPANISH which flashed across my screen from left to right and then stopped dead center:

They're baaack. Especially the Spanish one that stops dead center of the screen with no way to X out of it. Several pop-under ads too.

Yes, same Spanish ad they goes from left screen to right, the centers itself. There's no way to X out of the ad. It just sits there and I leave Cruise Talk then log back on.

Got this pop-up ad again just now. Very, VERY annoying. Not only is there NO way to 'X' out of the ad, it re-centers itself in the field of view if you try to scroll up or down. It only disappears after several seconds of being quite annoying. This one really has to go.

Also got this pop-under ad which requires me to double X out to get rid of the ad.

LINK HERE

Cruise Talk is still the ONLY website I visit that has these type of annoying ads. are they really necessary?

Ok, maybe it is not technically a pop-up add. Let me see if I can find it somewhere else in the system.

Thank you Joe, for removing these pop-up ads. I didn't visit CT as often because I was tired of constantly clicking off the web ads every time I went to CT.

I have been getting the Spanish ad also. I backed up a page and it was gone when I came back, but this didn't work everytime. Got it last evening. No sign of it today.

This has got to be annoying to have to try to find and fix. Good luck, Joe.

Thanks,
Michael

I see the pop up ads are back. It's getting annoying. Maybe that's what drove everyone away rather than deal with the ads? I get this from NO OTHER forum I visit. Just on Cruise Talk.

David,

I haven't changed anything on the advertising in months so I do not know how that can happen. What specific page were you on when you got the add.

Joe

I'm not sure if it had to do with the fact that I had cleared out all cookies and cache for the first time this year but as soon as I signed into CT there was a giant pop-up ad.
