Dear all,

Could you help me find/check the name and other details for this old Japanese
ferry? According to the posting it is the GYOKURYU MARU of Arimura Sangyo, but I
can not find any data for a ferry by that name. Besides, I think the funnel
colours aren't of Arimura Sangyo, but of Amami Kaiun:

Checks of Bruce Peter's book "Japanese ferries" and a Japanese-language
encyclopedia of Japanese ferries have yielded nothing so far.

I can only find on picture in her original guise, see here. It must be her? The characters look the same on the hull but as I don't read Japanese maybe OceanLiners can confirm or otherwise?

She was converted in 1987 and became FERRY AMAMI then sold to the Philippines in 1989 becoming ZAMBOANGA - scrapped in 2000
