Has anyone else noticed that Cruisetalk has had a different 'feel' this week?

I can't seem to put my finger on it?

I had the same feeling, little going on and little posting from the regulairs! Maybe other people have better things to do with their lives than we do!

Best, Onno

Have you only just noticed the different 'feel' Malcolm?

From my limited perspective it's been getting duller & duller for quite a while now.

How about livening it up!

Maybe some of the more verbose writers have gotten tired of reading their own output.

I’ve been a cruisetalk regular since the beginning, which is some years ago now. It has had many peaks and troughs. People leave, people join, it happens all of the time!

The level of activity on cruisetalk is often linked to the level of activity in the cruise industry itself. For example the announcement of the building of the QM2 generated a lot of posts, as did NCL’s purchase of the the big U, only to be followed by the Norway explosion.

At other times, when we have exhausted speculation, or there are no newbuilds, and no other newsworthy events, cruisetalk can appear a little dull.

However, Cruisetalk is only as interesting as it members, so it is up to all of us to liven it up, in the quiet times!

annnthony...you've only been here a dogwatch and you've spent most of that complaining so maybe you're part of the problem. Who's interested in your whining?

Malcolm's quite right too, about the up's and down cycles, plus there's the usual summer doldrums with people away and outside more.

Well I've been posting a lot lately, but from time to time It ake a break or slow down, when there is no news, new ships, I'm not planning a cruise, don't have questions, etc. So far I've always come back. I think fro, time to time little breaks are ok, as long as everyone doesn't have them at once!

Good grief! This has to rank as your silliest complaint yet. Does your negativity know no bounds? It is quickly wearing very thin.

So? What's your point? Surely not the hours I keep, because quite frankly that is none of your business. It also is totally irrelevant to the thread or any of the posts contained therein. If that's the best you can muster, why bother?
