Has anyone heard if Louis Cruises are changing the colour of all their ships funnels to blue.

The latest pictures of Cristal at Piraeus show her with a blue funnel, like Louis Majesty, but it is minus the logo crest at present.

LOUIS CRISTAL is still undergoing her annual maintenance in Piraeus main port and will have the red sun logo applied to her funnel as per LOUIS MAJESTY.

Gossip/rumour/speculation is that only these 2 vessels will be in this livery as part of Louis' fleet modernisation strategy to distinguish them as the higher standard/newer cruise ships of the fleet. However of course this remains to be seen, but does make sense imho.

Perhaps they might go upmarket and have another cruising company name for the two newer ships more like P & O did when they purchased Princess Cruises and then transfered Spirit of London to the
new company.

Oh well, it appears the theories have been squashed already. CORAL is having her annual maintenance at present in drydock, and yup her funnels have been painted blue

PaM: I think the CRISTAL is still just called CRISTAL, not LOUIS CRISTAL (thank God for that).

In the photo she is shown as CRISTAL but she is definitely being renamed LOUIS CRISTAL. See here:

They might not bother to actually rename her.

Celebrity referred to all its ships as "CELEBRITY (whatever)" for some years before legally renaming them. (And for some reason MILLENNIUM took a lot longer to rename than the rest.)

Just back from LOUIS MAJESTY. Had a nice time in some rough seas visiting often cold and rainy Iberia. I like the new funnel colors, especially on the MAJESTY.
