Hookers have always traveled by sea, or at least for decades...One former American President Lines purser (who spent the war as a prisoner of the Japanese) told me the story of a passenger crossing from the Far East to Honolulu on the PRESIDENT COOLIDGE in 1938...

He was an assistant purser - and probably also acted as baggage master (he told me but I forgot the exat detail)...In Firist Class was a beautiful woman of Chinese origin traveling to Hawaii with a few other very pretty women. In the late afternoon of the second day of the trip this Chinese-American lady needed a gown from a trunk of hers stored in the baggage room. The Chief Purser sent for the Assistant Purser and sent him to go with the woman to the baggage room. As luck would have it he had to literally climb over dozens of trunks and suitcases to find hers. he extracted the gown and brought it to her.

This same scene was repeated almost every day until the night before arrival at Honolulu. That evening the Chief Purser called this Assistant Purser to his office where the Chinese-American woman was present. The Chief Said: "X -- Mrs. -- wants to give you a tip." The Assistant said: "Chief, you know we Pursers aren't allowed to accept tips." The Chief replied: "Mrs. ---- runs the finest cathouse in Honolulu and for all your legwork she is giving you a pass for an evening's entertainment with the lady of your choice...you can take this tip!"

It was certainly better than the ship running onto a Navy mine at Espiritu Santo a couple of years later. The man who was at the helm lately told a friend of mine that when the ship hit the mine the Master said only one word: "SH*T!" I would have, too.

But seriously:

While on a Trans Canal on the Mercury a couple years ago there were two rather unattractive gentlemen with two rather attractive girls of asian heritage. The running joke around ship was that they had hired these escorts for the cruise length. When we arrived in San Diego on our way to Los Angeles half of the ships cruisers disembarked. The two men had left the ship and were waving to the two girls, who stayed on the ship, from the pier as we were leaving. Of course they now had two different rather unattractive gentlemen.

So maybe there are "escorts" available for hire on cruise ships?

I do know that if you try and bring a hooker onboard a Carnival ship they will confiscate her from you.

However, you do get her back at the end of your cruise!

I wonder where they will store her for you until the end of the cruise. Pity for the hooker if her client is on a world cruise. (I do hoop she gets something to eat)

Past the 12 mile limit into international waters, it is not illegal. But I am sure Carnival would want a cut from the proceeds. Hate the word: Pimp

On my SSNorway Cruise

In the Club I, there was every day a 1930’s style dowager wearing a pleated skirt, waltzing and ballroom dancing with a 20something Ken doll with waxed legs, he looked like Robert Goulet, she like Dame May Whitty. Normally he was in a tux. I found it comical watching them dance cheek to cheek. I think he is bought and paid for.

Carnival prefers that passengers use their on-board hookers, but passengers may bring their own if a special event is to be celebrated on board. You may enjoy the "services" once in your own cabin, if you decide to bring the hooker into a public place- such as the pool, purser's desk, restroom, etc., a 15% gratuity will be charged. It's certainly worth it for those who like to shop around for a good deal rather then just take what the line offers.

If one brings one's own, how do they calculate "corkage?" Do the add the 15% tip there, or at the end of the voyage?

Hookers a/b passenger liners is a fact. There are story's that HAL bring the ladys a/b there liners before they leave fore New York. In a bus they arrived at the Wilhelminakade terminal and where quickly led a/b the ship by crew gangway.

It was easy to do so Katendrecht Rotterdam red light district in the '40,'50, 60's and '70's was not that fare and plenty of friendly lady's who want sail the ocean.

Greetings Ben.

Sadly the originator of this thread has been 'called home'.

Topgun had a knack for generating great topics, frequently controversial but always interesting. His 'way with words' was truly something.

I'm sure he's up there watching us :-)

He was a great guy!

I'm sorry to hear that, he really had some of the best topics. Its safe to say that at one time or another he has pushed everyones buttons to the point of irritation while he sat there with a devilish smile on his face.

Godspeed Topgun, you will be missed.
