This is a friendly forum and I hope to make some new friends here.

I was a "lord-high" Watchman on the Str. DELTA QUEEN during 1983. Then during 1984 I was a Purser on the Str. BELLE OF LOUISVILLE.

Both are one of a kind sternwheel steamboats. The DELTA QUEEN built in Stockton,CA. during the twenties is the last wooden overnight steamboat carrying passengers for hire in America. The BELLE OF LOUISVILLE made her maiden voyage in 1915. Today she mostly makes excursion trips in the Louisville harbor during the summer months.

Thanks for responding. Baker, I checked out your picture in your profile. You're quite a dish!

Actually, I worked for Carnival Lines' TSS Festival way back in 1981 in the beauty salon. Not very exciting, I'm afraid! But it was a great experience.

If day-cruisers count, I spent a pleasant summer [1968] as a fireman in the Princess Marguerite's boiler room, running between Victoria and Seattle.
