Why is a well brand more expensive than a call brand? I checked some old RCCL, Celebrity, and Costa receipts from other cruises this year but it was always the other way around.
The call brand is the named, say Grey Goose for vodka, type and generally more expensive.
To answer the original question.
Who the heck knows, we actually went through a very similar thing on the Carnival legend a couple of years ago with martini's, for some reason my wife's martini would cost anywhere from $6 -$10 depending on what was punched in by the bar tender.
By day 4 we had come to an agreement with our wait staff that my wife was drinking a house martini and it would be $7.50.
Honestly for the 2 drinks a night I couldn't care less about the cost, it (as a person that runs a casino) amazed me that the same drink being prepared by the same bar tender and served by the same waitress could cost a different amount each time.
