We have just booked our next cruise on the Maasdam for this coming December. We sailed on her this past February and can't wait to go again! We are also toying with the idea of booking on the Galaxy for next January (2003) out of Charleston, South Carolina. Once the cruising bug bites you....

I'm from the Pacific Northwest, weather similar to Ireland, and I agree the Caribbean is the only place to go during our "liquid sun" days. As far as ships go, We just returned in December from the Grandeur of the Seas, while the ship is beautiful the service, food and activity was on par with Carnival. So if your a "Party O'Girl" I'd go with the new Carnival ship.
