Well, I have noticed since the whole "shake up" that not very many "elders" (sorry) have been posting in our "teen" posts... I was wondering if anyone else noticed this? Seems like (no offence at all) the only main repliers are Keitero, Commodore, Captian Rhone, and Cruiseny (whats new). Well, I know that all other people have also posted, just they havent been as, well, frequent. Sorry, but if we all cant agree on eachother, I might be forced to find a different messgage board, not that it probably would bother any "elders" (sorry again).

Before another "attack" happens, I just want to clearify something.

The list that Ranger had above is all teens, but I do believe that we have alot "elders" posting frequent too. To name a few: Ocean Liners, Malcolm, sympatico, PamM, Draikar, and many more. I appreciate everyone here sharing their memories onboard their favorite ships, answering my questions, and exchanging information so we all know more about ships.

In the USA it's hard to tell. One can vote (with a few exceptions) and fight in combat at age 18 but many states don't allow anyone under 21 to drink.

Creating an adults only forum is no different from creating an adults only message board. Nothing stops the adults from contributing to the "Young peoples forum"...they have in the past and they are met with acceptance, not this "you don't belong here attitude".
I can't agree more !

Remember, you have to give respect to get respect. Don't think simply because someone is a "kid" or "young" that they owe you respect.
Good point. On my last cruise, I noticed that the older teens like 17 and above tends to be less respectful of the ship and the passengers. There were a few old passengers who gave us a unfriendly look, which we "gave back" to them. Just think to the days when you all were "young" cruisers, how did you guys feel about the older adults giving you no respect ?

I strongly think an Adult Cruiser Forum should NOT happen here. When there is the "adult-only" words, teens will try to get their way in. I am 15, but I am good. Like on a cruise, when there are adult-only activities, how often do you guys see teens trying to get their way in? I saw it quite alot including the friends I met onboard...

Now that's showing that you are really mature! Why not just ignore them? When you act the same way as these "old" passengers, you are no different from them.

I have seen participate in activities many times with the "older" folk and have a lot of fun.

You know those crackers that are sealed when you have your soup? And yes I agree with you that was a little immature about the "give back" look, but it would have been better if they didn't make such a big deal about us.

Ah, now I understand what you mean. If you had said a package of soda crackers, I would have understood. And yes, that would be mature and polite to offer to help them open the package, altho they just might tell you to mind your own business. You will understand when you get there, to old age that is, but you have a looooooong way to go.

I agree with you that those "old" folks probably shouldn't have given you the "look", but you have to understand that some "old" folks are just funny that way They forget that they were kids once and I bet they probably did a lot worse things than you and your friends did on the ship. Next time just smile at them and walk away. That will probably annoy them more than giving them a dirty look.

I remember being a kid once.

At age of about 8 in 1944 we were walking over an unused assault range on Larkhill camp near Salisbury in England.

I noticed what appeared to be a dud grenade.
I pulled the pin and realised it was live.
I smartlly tossed the grenade over a low brick wall.

The grenade went off, the wall fell down around us.
We got away with it, but my mum sure didnt like the tear in my pants when we got home.

I wasn't sure guys since I haven't seen you guys at all, but you all are older than me and know alot more. I was just trying to get the message across. Sympatico, thanks you. The word was just out of my mind for a sec there. Actually I was sitting right by the atrium watching the other ships leave port and there was a lady there who I was talking to and she struggled with it so I decided to ask if she need help .
