Kamakura was an ancient capital city of the samurai. There are numerous shrines and temples throughout the city.
Kamakura is located in Kanagawa prefecture, about 50 kilometers south-southwest of Tokyo and served by JR Yokosuka Line from Tokyo (about one hour / 890Yen) and Yokohama (about 30 minutes / 330Yen).
Pacific Venus anchored off Zushi in Sagami Bay or Sagami Gulf, a shuttle boat arrives/leaves at Zushi Marina.Zushi marina is situated on the coast and adjacent to boundary line between Kamakura city and Zushi City, it takes about 10 minutes by bus to JR Kamakura station.

10 min walk from Kamakura Station on the JR Yokosuka Line and Enoshima Electric Railway Line.
Daibutsu or Great Buddha
Access:
7 minutes on foot from Hase Station on the Enoshima Electric Railway Line or
take a bus from No.1/No.6 Bus Depot at Kamakura Station east exit, then get off at Daibutsu-mae Bus Stop.

Pacific Venus made 3-day Autumun Kamakura and Nikko cruise for visiting historical places from Nagoya.
In the evening, she set sail for her first visit to port of Orai.
Port of Oarai is renowned as being a Ferry Terminal for Tomakomai, Hokkaido.
The Cruising time between Oarai and Tomakomai is about 10 hours shoter than from Tokyo to Tomakomai. Tokyo - Tomakomai Passenger/Car Ferry service abolished in 1999.
