Tenpozan Wharf in the Port of Osaka.

In the 1980th, Port of Osaka became a one of International cruise port in Japan, noteworthy Sagafjord and QE2 made a brief call at Osaka on world cruise in 1988.
Tenpozan Passenger Terminal was a one of busiest domestic passenger terminal in Japan until Akashi Kaikyo Bridge has been opened since 1998.
No domestic passenger ship route is connected to and from Tenpozan Wharf now though Tenpozan area is bustling with families and tourists.

Tenpozan Harbour Village Area has been developed as a part of the waterfront development plan of Port of Osaka and opened in July, 1990.
The main facility is managed by the OSAKA WATERFRONT DEVELOPMENT Co.,Ltd., the third sector. Kaiyukan, Tenpozan Market Place and
Tenpozan Ferris Wheel are very popular spots in the area.

Domestic passenger ship berth

Cruise Ships mainly berthed at this wharf, Diamond Princess/Sapphire Princess are the biggest cruise ships to visit port of Osaka until now. Both ships made a maiden call to this port in 2005.

Osaka Port International Ferry Terminal is located in Sakishima(An artificial island), Suminoe-ku.

There are two International ferry routes to Shanghai and Pusan by three ferries.

"Su Zhou Hao" Shanghai Ferry Co.,Ltd

"Xin Jian Zhen" Japan- China International Ferry Company Ltd.

"Panstar Dream" Panstar

Free shuttle bus service is available on departure day from Cosmo Square Station on the Chuo Line (Osaka Subway) or Nanko Port Town Line (New Tram).

Contact the Ferry companies for more information.

Osaka Nanko Ferry Terminal is one of Three domestic ferry terminals in Osaka.
The pier has operated since 1971.
A Pedestrian bridge connecting Ferry Terminal buidng and Ferry Terminal Station (Nanko Port Town Line)/Nanko Bus Terminal.
It is provides ferry service for the following routes;

Orange Ferry : Osaka - Niihama - Toyo route.

Meimon Taiyo Ferry : Osaka - Shin Moji route.

A" Line Ferry : Osaka - Naze - Kametoku - Wadomari - (Yoron) - Okinawa route

Sunflower Ferry : Oita - Matsuyama -Osaka route(Inbound ferry only*)

*"Sunflower Nishiki" and "Sunflower Kogane" (co-operated by Kansai Kisen and Diamond Ferry) from Oita via Matsuyama route ferry arrives at Osaka Nanko Ferry Terminal however Outbound ferry for Oita leaves Osaka Nanko COSMO Terminal.

[Note] Sunflower Osaka - Beppu route ferry arrives/leaves Osaka Nanko COSMO Terminal.

"Osaka Express" (Left) and "Sunflower Kirishima" berthed at Osaka Kamome Ferry Terminal.

Osaka Nanko Ferry Terminal was cramped as Ferry companies expanded the number of routes, New Ferry Terminal opened at Nanko Kamome Wharf.

Osaka Nanko Kamome Ferry Terminal is used for ferry services to Miyazaki (operated by Miyazaki Car Ferry Co., Ltd.) and Shibushi (operated by Diamond Ferry Co ., Ltd.) in the eastern side of southern Kyushu.

The Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau running bus services from Nanko Bus Terminal to Osaka Nanko Kamome Ferry Terminal (about 10 minutes' ride).

The elevated pedestrian walkway connecting Ferry Terminal Station (on the Nanko Port town Line) to Nanko Bus Terminal.

Sunflower Cobalt is berthed at Osaka Nanko Cosmo Ferry Terminal #WR-5.


Asia & Pacific Trade Center [ATC] is consist of ITM building(Left) and O's building.
Osaka Nanko Cosmo Ferry Terminal is situated on the second floor of ATC's ITM building.

Asia and Pacific Trade Center is located at the corner of Nanko "R" Container berth and adjacent to the Trade Center Mae Station on the Nanko Port Town Line.
It has one of the largest outlet mall in Japan(ATC Townoutlet MARE) as well as shops, restaurants and amusement facilities, a popular spot in the south harbor.

A one of Nanko "R" Container berth became a Ferry berth(#WR-5) in Last year.
The Ferry commenced to terminate at Osaka Nanko Cosmo Ferry Terminal on July 8th 2008.

Sunflower ferry routes below leaves Osaka Nanko Cosmo Ferry Terminal;

Osaka - Beppu,
Osaka - Matsuyama - Oita,
Osaka - Sakate in Shodoshima(Seasonal sailings).

[note] Since June 1st, Sunflower Nishiki and Sunflower Kogane from Oita (via Matsuyama) arrives Osaka Nanko Ferry Terminal though the other Sunflower Ferry arrives at Osaka Nanko Cosmo Ferry Terminal.

The Osaka Port and Harbor Bureau have a plan to relocate to Nanko Cosmo Ferry Terminal for Ferries which currently terminates at Nanko Kamome Ferry Terminal in a few years.

Dream Shuttle "Captain Harry" (Captain Line for Universal City Port adjacent to the Universal Studios Japan) is moored in front of Four Ferries, Those Ferries are (from right to the left) :

"Ferry Osaka" (City Line for Shin Moji port), "Ferry Kyoto2" (City Line for Shin Moji port), "Orange 8" (Orange Ferry Co., Ltd for Niihama port and Toyo port), "Sunflower Kogane" (owned by Diamond Ferry Co., Ltd and arrived from Oita Port and Matsuyama Port), " Sunflower Kogane" shift to Osaka Nanko Cosmo Ferry Terminal for Departures.
