Could you please help. We have a few questions re boarding a ship in LA.

1. Where should one stay for a couple of days before boarding a ship at the World Cruise Centre?
2. Do any of the hotels offer a shuttle service to the WCC?
2.Is it possible to do a one way car rental from LAX to WCC, and if so which car rental companies offer the one way service?

Downtown Long Beach is about 30-minutes south of LAX (depending on traffic) and there are several large chain hotels as well as the famous Hotel Queen Mary. Hotels near Shoreline Village (across from the Queen Mary) offer ocean views as well as direct access to attractions, shops and restaurants in the downtown Long Beach area. Long Beach has a nice beach town feel near the water. To the south are the charming Long Beach neighborhoods of Belmont Shore and Naples. If you have a car, Orange County to the south offers the beautiful beach communities of Newport, Balboa and Laguna Beach.

I don't know of a rental car drop-off at the cruise terminal. An option is to take a cab or limo service from downtown Long Beach directly to the cruise terminal in San Pedro. The drive time to the San Pedro terminal is around 20 minutes.
