The red roofed building in the middle of those buildings is a nice little church and if you attend the 5:00 service on Saturday evening you can hear the ship's horns as they depart and observer them from an interesting perspective after the service.

The Condos at the end of the channel always have their horns blowing, strobe lights flashing and flags on the balcony wishing everyone bon voyage. This is where the ships start to blow their horns, at least the HAL ones do. I have seen Canadian flags on the balconies and also someone has an old Holland America insignia flag.
Vivavegas - I wouldn't want to have one of those homes on the beach across from the port. You can't imagine the noise created by speed boats - as you can see in the picture, there are a lot of them whizzing up and down the channel. Also the shipping traffic is very heavy. On the other side of the Bridge, there are some beautiful homes - all with their yatchs "parked" outside. When we stay at Pier 66 we can see a lot of them and they are gorgeous.
