Hello Jean and welcome aboard.

We visited the Cayman Islands a few years back on the Imagination and did the Island tour and found it quite fascinating. Next year we are going back and we are going to do Stingray City. Everyone on this board that has gone to Stingray City raves about it and always say how wonderfula time they had(almost everyone).

Sorry but I haven't experienced the other two ports of call and I can't say that I have heard much about them either but I am sure that someone on this board has visited them.

Cruise cats-

We are also going on the NCL sun for New Years. Have you ever taken NCL before? What is your opinion? Where do you suggest we go in Roatan when we get off the ship? Thanks for all the scoop!

We went on Norwegian Wind on this itinerary last Christmas. Key West was substituted for Grand Cayman. However, we've been to Grand Cayman a number of times.

We really like Grand Cayman. An island tour is a good idea for first-timers. Last time we went, this was a tender trip in.

Roatan is very enjoyable. There is a good beach resort where there are some interesting shops.

We enjoy Cozumel a lot. There are nice shops, especially the one that sells onyx, and good restaurants.

Our opinion of NCL is this: if you have a problem, they are extremely difficult to deal with. We've been on three cruises with them. Two cruises had problems (Norwegian Wind and the Norway). The third cruise was our best ever, Norwegian Crown. The Crown is now in the Orient Cruise Line. An NCL subsidiary.

An issue with NCL is that they have been bought out by Star Cruises (from the Orient).

We, personally, are not going to book on them again soon.
