I'm flying into Logan and only have 15 minutes to catch the 5pm bus to Woods Hole, and I doubt that I can make it. Well, that same bus leaves the bus station downtown at 700 Atlantic Av. at 6pm which I think that I can make if I get the water taxi to Rowes Wharf. Is it a safe walk at that time of day between the wharf and the bus station and is that walk while carrying a suitcase even practical? Or would a Boston hack not mind hauling a fare for such a short distance? The other option is to catch the next bus at Logan to Woods Hole, but it leaves at 7:15pm. Any other ideas; I hate sitting in airports.

You can walk from Rowes Wharf to the bus station in 10 to 15 minutes max. It is a safe neighborhood. There is much congestion in the area due to the "Big Dig". There are a lot of police in the area because it is a tourist and business area. Carrying a large suitcase could pose a problem due to the construction, but it is doable. I do not think a cabbie would want to take you to the bus terminal or if they did it would be rather expensive. I was in that area last week and the construction changes were ifferent from when I was there two weeks before. Good luck.

Thank you, sir, for your answer! I think that is how I'm going to catch the bus to Woods Hole, unless someone else comes up with a better idea.
