In Aruba there is a sunken freighter for you snorkel around. The Germans sunk it in WWII. However, when we were there, there was another ship in port so there was about 200 snorkelers there, plus divers down below. Way too crowded. If you are the only ship there, it would probably be pretty good. Again, you have to go by boat.
In St. Thomas, one of my favorite beach spots is Coki Beach. Lots of fish and clear water. They sell what looks to be Purina Dog Chow on the beach to feed the fish. The fish will swarm around you like bees. You can stand in waist deep water and feed them. In deeper water you may spot a turtle or some bigger fish. It's a short cab ride to the beach from the pier.
