Can't wait to see DISNEY DREAM! Also I don't mind all the ships in STT and STM. More fun that way as I love ship spotting.
What ships can I expect to see in each port?
Thanks!

With the Disney Dream pulling in to Nassau after ALLURE you should get some pretty good shots of her as she does the '180 pivot' to back up into her slip. I am guessing she will moor to the port side of you (bow out) and you should get a very good all-around view of the entire ship!

Looks like some great ship photo opportunities.
Interesting that NIEUW AMSTERDAM, MSC POESIA, and CELEBRITY SOLSTICE all have pretty much the same itinerary as ALLURE. Looks like I will be seeing a lot of those ships.
I haven't ever planned a specific cruise specifically just for shipspotting, and rarely ever see but a couple of ships here and there in port with the ship I am on at that time, but wouldn't that be wonderful to luck out seeing lots and lots of different ships closeup during your week in the Caribbean but not in the ports you want to enjoy?

To be honest, Nassau, St Maarten, and St Thomas hold little excitement for me. 100% of the reason I booked ALLURE was for the ship. The ports didn't really matter. In fact the main reason I will even get off the ship in any of the ports is to photograph other ships, so the more the merrier!
I've actually found that St Maarten, St Thomas, and Nassau have the infrastructure to absorb several mega-ships quite well. These are after all, three of the largest and most frequented ports in the Caribbean, and all three are very built up. St Thomas probably feels the most congested, and that is partly due to the number of cars and trucks on the island.
I would share your concern at smaller ports, such as St Barts, Virgin Gorda, Tortola, etc. In those and similar Caribbean ports, I would prefer no mega-ships to spoil the experience, and thankfully they all have limitations as to how many cruise ship passengers they can accommodate.
So true it actually made me laugh out loud.
Ernie, I was just looking at some mid-December dates for Nassau, Cozumel, and STT and saw dates where there would be upwards of 8 ships in port. Back in the day, St. Thomas with a gathering of ships was impressive because they would either dock at pierside or anchor in the inner/outer harbor. Now with the new facilities it spreads them out a bit more like at Cozumel. Nassau and St. Maarten with the ships all in closer proximity make for some pretty impressive shots, as does Grand Cayman with a bunch at anchor.
