hey everyone,,,

anybody else going to be on the last new york to southampton????

am getting the tissues ready now, can feel the emotions boiling away already!!

i've also heard of a meeting in a pub somewhere in manhatten(in between the 2 ships) on the 16th around 12noon. its for anyone just departed from qe2 or qm2 or for those sailing that day or just coming to watch, will be good gathering i hear, great to share stories and meet fellow voyagers to.
am waiting to hear more details. its also mentioned on another post somewhere...

I'll be on that "Final Crossing." If you see tears on my cheeks, I'm not sure if they will be there because of the DELTA QUEEN or QUEEN ELIZABETH 2.

I (with my arm up my back) am on the QM2

At least we will have the better view!

CC'ers of both persuasions have indeed set up an afternoon meet in NYC - all you need to be is a liner loony to be very welcome

Hi Fraser,

I too hope to meet you and others whom enjoy talking about the great boats and ships of today and yesterday. I'm sure that I'll have something to say about the DELTA QUEEN, and how at that time she will be making what might be her final trip. I promise though that I'll be just as eager to hear about past exploits of the Transat ships, Cunard ships, HAPAG ships, HAL ships, and others. Oh, and if someone starts talking about the SHIELDHALL or WAVERLY, I sure hope that I'm there to hear it.

i love the waverley used to go on it every summer at least once or twice from my home town ayr.. my dad still goes on it at least once,maybe twice a week.. haha so i have many a story to share about the good ol gal!!

well only 2 weeks ish to go now. starting to get organised, very excited...
