Diane,

Maybe it will just be the four of us.

I am still looking forward to meeting you in person.

Hi Carolyn - looks that way doesn't it. Look at all the attention we will get. I have been in touch with the Hotel Manager and they will probably hold 2 lifeboat drills, one at 5pm and one the next morning for the late arrivals. When do you arrive in San Juan. We are coming in on the 21st and staying at the Wyndham Old San Juan. There were supposed to be 25 in our group, however a family of 16 cancelled!!!
He also said that they would probably hold the Captain's cocktail party on Christmas Day as on the 23rd we are in St. Lucia (I think) until 11pm and they can't hold it then, then the next night is Christmas Eve and there will be a special service with all the crew, so that leaves Christmas Day, which is a formal night and that would be very nice.
See you in a few weeks.

We're flying in Friday afternoon. We did our own post-cruise in San Juan last fall.

The party schedule sounds good.

I've never been to St. Croix or Isla de Margarita. Have you ? Any suggestions??

We were in St. Croix in '98 and went on an excursion to Fredrikstaad, and then again last March, but then we just wandered around the town and did nothing. The excursion was interesting, but seemed like a long day. Did some shopping and that was about it.
We've never been to Margarita Island so we are looking forward to seeing it. I have printed some posts on the island that were on this forum and on the internet, so will bring them with me.
See you on board.
Diane

sympatico....
Nice that you met someone here on your
Veendam cruise. It will be fun to meet
and chat.
Sorry to here your group has gotten so
much smaller. I wonder what changed their
minds. Nevertheless, you and your daughter
will have a great time on this fine vessel.
Don't hold out too much for Isla de Margar-
ita....not much there. I went there years
ago on either the old NA or the old Staten-
dam. I think it was NA. Of course things
may have changed since then.
