Excellent clips, many thanks. Some lovely rooms there, real candles and glorious evening sunset on the decks, almost as if one was really setting sail.

No engines running though but there is something running and humming in the 2nd half of the clip - what was that? Quite a sparse bridge.

Most surprised to see a P&O ferry that far upriver!

Thanks for sharing Ernst.
It was a delight to look at these videos.
She really looks like to be in pristine condition and she's a perfect testimony of the end of the transatlantic voyages history.
I wish I could visit her.

Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, Rotterdam seems to be in good condition and she is definitely worth a visit.

Engine room noise played back via an audio system.

I second this. We stayed on board for a night earlier this year (immediately before a cruise on the new Rotterdam), and were impressed with the ship's condition, the welcome from the hotel staff, and the enthusiasm of the volunteers who do the tours. Very worthwhile.

Also, I sent some photos to a friend who did a stint on board ss Rotterdam as CD, who was very impressed by the work that's been done.

I have to find a computer that will play these videos, though - thanks for posting them!

QuickTime should be able to play the clips.
If you can not play the video embedded in the webpage click on the link at the top of the page to directly access the clip (it says 'THIS LINK') - that might help.
