Does anyone have interior photos of any of her lounges, Purser's Desk area, public rooms and staterooms?

I did a Panama Canal cruise on this ship, but have no interior pictures. She did have very nice and large cabins. Better than on the newer Princess tonnage. Nicely decorated in the Princess way. Attractive atrium. She had no forward facing deck on which to observe the canal passage, so I was unhappy with that part of the ship.

She had a small crescent shapped out door deak forward just under the bridge if I remember from sailing Regal

Yes she did, Avalon....but the problem was it was way too small for the compliment of pax. Also, there was no forward out of doors location on the top deck for watching. Nice ship, but not good for canal transits in MHO.

I sailed on her twice-once when new in November, 1991 and again to Alaska after her 'Princess' style de-decorating. The original decor had many touches of modern Italian design. In 1993 or '94 she was re-decorated w/ more traditional Princess design elements and color pallette-far more aqua! The original modern-style main dining room was glitzed-up w/new chandeliers and other changes after the re-decorating. Sorry, no pics of the interiors

I was aboard CROWN PRINCESS when she was new, in October 1990. Her interiors were very neo-Art Deco, and greatly resembled the rebuilt interiors of Sitmar's FAIRWIND and FAIRSEA. Lots of photos taken during that time, I'll try to create an album and share some of them later.

I was on her in '91. For the most part I liked her interiors, especially her dining room. The casino/lounge above the bridge was a major waste of space. I do remember liking how many of her public rooms were inboard with a sort of enclosed promenade on both sides. Her atrium was also very nice. Food was outstanding.

I was also on the Regal Princess when Prime Minister Thatcher christened her in NYC. Although she was laid out the same (the ship, not the Prime Minister), I didn't like her interiors as much.

As linerguy posted, the food onboard CP was excellent in 1991. Princess was still PRINCESS in those days and had excellent food w/the 'silver service' for the pasta of the day served at dinner.

The entire operation was similar to the Princess of the 1970s and 80s-more upmarket and casually luxurious than it is today.
