Google Earth is definitely not providing 'real time' pictures.
From the information I received it appears to have been the 13th February 2012 but that could have been the arrival date at the port and not the actual beaching of the ship..
I just read on another discussion group that the DISCOVERY SUN was beached at Chittagong on Feb 25th, 2012. I do not know where the author of the posting got this info. I'm sure one of upcoming issues of Marine News will give us the final answer!
Nothing unusual as I have seen a report that the mv Pacific, ex Pacific Princess, has been sold to breakers in Turkey but the ' Optima ' webste is showing her as sold to China !
