Last night Queen Victoria stopped by Long Beach Harbor to say "hello" to Queen Mary.

Their stacks look to be completely different colors.

Great image and the funnels do look different colors. Queen Mary's funnels were painted about a year and half ago as I recall and they were matched to a paint chip of 1930s 'Cunard Red'. I believe the incredibly talented maritime artist Ken Marschall was involved in the color matching so I trust it is the color of her funnels circa 1936.

QV's 'Cunard Red' may be more red but not even close to the crimson red that QM2 sported for her first few years of service. Today all three Queens have the same more correct shade though today it is more red-orange and orange-red.
