Very nice indeed. High France feel in this picture. Although 2 of the vessels are German owned.

Indeed !! Three Saint Nazaire built ships!
I always thought that the ex Shalom was a very good mini-France with near identical bridge and verandah deck...

Yes a great picture, and three French builts. What's more sort of a timeline in the industry, a 1930s/1950s liner, a superliner and a dual purpose/cruise ship.

And the finally little bit two of the rest on the bottom of the ocean on the eternal cruise to nowhere .....

Great image. Hanseatic was a very handsome ship and there was no mistaking her w/the size of those letters on her bow! She looked even better after her re-building for Royal Cruise Line.

I was never a fan of Bremen's exterior. Years ago I did a cut and tape job on a photo copy of her adding a dummy funnel aft (a copy of her forward funnel). She looked really good as a two-stacker.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful image of three handsome steamers. I wonder why HANSEATIC and BREMEN at least are not berthed in the harbor, however. Could this possibly be St. Maarten instead of Barbados?

You could be right, I as a young child was in St Maarten, April of 1971 on the Queen Anna Maria and recall seeing these ships.

The Bremen had followed us from St. Thomas
